The Real Truth About Acne Removal
Free Acne Tips by Doug Smith

Everyone wants clear and beautiful skin. Hollywood actors have teams of trainers and makeup artists to make their skin look soft, smooth, and supple. And acne-free. When is the last time you saw a movie star with acne? We seek to emulate our Hollywood idols by seeking acne removal techniques when acne occurs.

Is acne removal possible? Myriad cosmetic and skin care products promise to do so, for as long as you use the product according to the directions. These products don't actually cause acne removal, as much as they prevent the eruption of new acne on the skin.

If acne is already present, these many products can give your skin the nutrients it needs to fight the acne breakout. These products also help prevent aggravation of the acne breakout and promote the healing of any acne scars.

Antibiotics have been a popular acne removal option. However, acne removal is not the main job of antibiotics. Antibiotics are used to fight off infections, including those caused by infected acne outbreaks.

Regular use of antibiotics for acne treatment is strongly discouraged, because this may lead to harmful germs in our bodies becoming resistant to the drugs.

Laser resurfacing, which is the use of soft, highly focused laser light on the acne inflammation, is only advisable for minor acne outbreaks like blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples.

Laser resurfacing is the closest modern medicine can come to actual acne removal, because it literally removes the acne from the skin. However, this burning can create scars that might outlast the acne outbreak.

Be at ease, because laser resurfacing also includes a post-treatment that stimulates collagen growth. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin its texture.

Despite its effectiveness, laser resurfacing can be very expensive. Your circumstances may require less expensive acne removal treatment.

Many treatments are being sold as acne removal solutions, and many people use them for that reason. Only a few of them actually remove acne. The others help to prevent new acne by fortifying the skin against new outbreaks.
